Welcome!
For the 10th year, Andersonville is thrilled to celebrate many of the artists who live and work in the neighborhood with Andersonville Arts Weekend. We hope you will take the time to explore the dozens of artists on display in many of your favorite Andersonville businesses. Friday night will kick off with the always popular Night of 100 pARTies!, an evening of receptions up and down Clark Street, followed by a self-guided art walk on Saturday and Sunday. You can click 2012 MAP on the right side of this page, or you can pick up an Andersonville Arts Weekend brochure in any participating business.
This year's event also features an incredible amount of live theater. Longtime neighborhood favorite The Neo-Futurists' present the opening weekend of their 44 Plays For 44 Presidents, an election-year update of the most popular primetime show in their storied history. Quest Theatre Ensemble, Chicago's premiere free theater (who happen to call Andersonville home) , delight children of all ages with their interactive, high energy productions of Males Order Brides. Neighborhood newcomers The pH Comedy Theater bring comedy and improv to Andersonville, and the Rivendell Theatre Ensemble present the critically-acclaimed Wrens in their new Edgewater home. For a complete list of performances, demonstrations and other great events during Andersonville Arts Weekend, click on the Events link on the right side of this page.
We hope you have a wonderful time in the neighborhood!
