Rules are an expression of how we think things should be – what’s right and what’s wrong. Some rules govern how we behave in society, some govern how we treat each other. Some are just about how we think the world is supposed to work.
When people break the rules – drama ensues. The five plays in our 2016-17 season show what happens when someone breaks the rules or when the rules break all by themselves. The established order is challenged, relationships end, families are healed or formed in unlikely ways.
Five great stories – three of them new to Chicago audiences
