Pictures with Santa!
You are never too old to sit on Santa’s lap in Andersonville. Children and adults alike are welcome to whisper their gift wishes in Santa’s ear twice in Andersonville this Holiday Season. First, visit Santa at George’s Ice Cream & Sweets for winter wonderland photos on the decked out holiday patio! If the weather is a little rough, we’ll move the photos inside. Or, pose with Santa in the beautiful Swedish American Museum Gallery on December 15 instead.
Entertainment & Activities
December 8, 15 & 22
5-8PM: Open Play Time at First Free Church
Bring your kids inside from the cold for a play break in the First Free gym! They’ll enjoy the kiddie playground equipment and craft station while you regroup and relax. This is a good opportunity for one parent/caregiver to stay behind while the other shops for gifts during Andersonville Late Nights! Open Play is available for kids 8 and under, with an adult or caregiver present.
6-9PM: Mini-Art Camp at StudioUs | 4806 N. Clark
Need a break from the kids to do some Holiday shopping? Children ages 4-12 are invited to register for Mini-Art Camp at StudioUs. Mini-Art Camp will be offered in one-hour time slots from 6-9PM for $10/hr. Need more time? You may register for a 3-hour time slot for a discounted price of $25. Limited spots available. Email email@example.com to register.
6:30-9PM: Lakeside Pride Music Ensemble performs brass band holiday tunes throughout the neighborhood. Come take a ride with them on the Andersonville Holiday Trolley as well! Lakeside Pride will also perform earlier in the month on Andersonville First Fridays on December 1.
7-9PM: Windy City Performing Arts will carol around the neighborhood, popping in on businesses for Andersonville Late Night!
Free Gift Wrapping
December 8 & 22 @ George’s Ice Cream & Sweets | 5-9PM

Sit back and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate or ice cream while we take the work out of your hands. There will be card-making and craft activities for children* while you wait. *One parent/guardian must accompany children at all time.
