Grief is not a pathology or illness, it’s a natural part of life that can bring much suffering. The goal of mindfulness practice is to ease suffering. This group will bring grief and mindfulness together in a format that will offer support, compassion, understanding, and meaning to your process. The only thing you need to approach your grief mindfully is yourself, as you are, right now. Experiencing your grief with others who are in the same boat can bring a deeper sense of connection, openness to new possibilities, improved self-perception, courage, and strength. This group is for anyone who has experienced the death of a family member, friend, or partner within the last 6 months.

Together, we’ll:

  • Ease the physical symptoms of grief
  • Calm your mind and help you to regulate difficult emotions
  • Improve your awareness of the present moment
  • Increase your compassion towards yourself and others
  • Help you make meaning from your loss

Facilitated by Martha Tierney, LCSW, and Lara Liesma Wolff, MA

When: Mondays from 8–9pm. This is an 8-week group which begins September 18th and runs through November 6th, 2017

Cost: $320 total for 8 weeks payable up front ($40 each meeting) by credit card; no refunds for missed meetings
