The Coffee Studio
Coffee drinkers can delight in the new Maple Latte: handcrafted espresso and velvety steamed milk sweetened with real maple syrup and then topped with The Coffee Studio’s own maple whipped cream and sprinkled with house made maple sugar.

Small Fish Radio Theatre presents Tales of Dread at the Swedish American Museum

Free Parking in the Swedish American Museum  lot on Foster and Ashland
Small Fish Radio Theatre and Thespinarium hosts a live podcast recording of their horror show, TALES OF DREAD, featuring the writings of Marie Anderson, Evan Baughfman, Kevin Folliard, Trina Kakacek, Mark Kater, Michael John Kelly, Ryan Mullenix and Theresa Stefaniak. Live performance by Joy Thorbjornsen Coates, Cat Dean, Michael Herzovi, Mark Kater, Michael John Kelly and Sharon Phillips.

Andersonville Halloween Movie Night – Double Feature!

Join the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce and Babes With Blades Theatre Company on October 27 for a Friday night outdoor feature in the Chiro One parking lot (5623 N Clark). The night kicks off at 6PM with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Babes With Blades Theatre Company, is a Chicago-based all-female stage combat theatre company. They will be selling traditional movie theater concession snacks. Bring a chair, and a blanket and come support this remarkable organization. Costumes are encouraged!

$1 Kids Hot Chocolate and Hot Cider
Friday, October 27 | 5PM-8PM 
The Coffee Studio will be offering $1 Kids Hot Chocolate and Hot Cider to anyone with the password “Griffindor,” in honor of the outdoor Harry Potter movie at the Chiro One parking lot.

Saturday, October 28

48th Ward Halloween Parade 
Saturday, October 28 | 10AM: The 48th Ward Halloween Parade will take a costumed stroll from Peirce Elementary School to Gethsemane Garden Center on October 28. Meet at the playground at Peirce (1423 W Bryn Mawr) beginning at 10AM and participate in dances led by Dream Big Performing Arts. The parade steps off at 11AM!

Annual Children’s Fall Festival
Saturday, October 28 | 11-4PM:  Join the folks at Gethsemane Garden Center from 11AM to 4PM on October 28 for the annual Children’s Fall Festival! For the spookiest time, attend the event in your favorite Halloween Costume. Watch Gus Giordano Dancers perform the iconic “Thriller” at 2:15pm and 2:30pm too!

Trick or Treating along Clark Street & Costume Contest
Saturday, October 28 | 1-3PM: AlleyCat Comics is heading up Treat-or-Treating for the children of Andersonville. Look for the ORANGE PUMPKIN door signs in storefronts of the neighborhood to find participating businesses. There will also be a costume contest that will be judged by the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce staff at AlleyCat – please check in from 12:30-3PM and the costume winner will be announced at 3:30PM.

Stop by Replay Andersonville on Saturday for their Halloween party featuring games, costumes, food and drink specials!

Fireside Chicago Costume Party
Saturday, October 28
Fireside will host their Annual Halloween Costume Party on Saturday night with a special Guest DJ in the bar area, a costume contest and drink specials.

Sunday, October 29

Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade and Costume Contest
Hosted by Jameson Loves Danger and Bow Wow Lounge
Sunday, October 29 | 1-4PM | Empirical Brewery
Jameson Loves Danger, Bow Wow Lounge, Empirical Brewery, and ASNA Chicago (Andersonville South Neighborhood Association) join forces for the Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade and Costume Contest on October 29. There is a $5 pet entry fee for the parade, and there will be prizes! Admission is free. All proceeds will benefit Felines & Canines.

The Final Andersonville Dessert Crawl
Sunday, October 29 | 2-5PM
It’s trick-or-treating for adults with a gourmet flair! Choose between two routes, each featuring host destinations with delectable goodies. Children and teens are welcome. IDs will be checked at any alcohol tastings. Click here for details.

That’s Weird Grandma: Special Halloween & Spooky Stories

That’s Weird, Grandma is a variety show of short sketches and songs adapted from stories written by students in Barrel of Monkeys’ arts education programs. The weekly show, now in its 17th year, runs the gamut from clever and funny to touching and poignant, and includes live music, original song-and-dance numbers, wigs and props galore, and a rotating cast of talented professional actors who celebrate the imaginations of children through this raucous performance.

A Tribute to Harry Potter at Blu 57 Seafood and Small Plates

Halloween Night at Bar Roma

Bar Roma‘s Halloween evening will begin with a happy hour from 5-6:30PM. All appetizers will be half price and glasses of rosè will be $6. Guests who arrive in costume will also receive a free dessert! At 8PM, the restaurant will host a costume contest with prizes for the top three winners.
